About Me I started highland piping about 10 years ago...it was quite boring so I started Irish Uilleann piping....it was very hard and reeds do not hold up well in Ohio climate. I then switched to French piping (biniou kozh, bombard and veuze), which I still do sometimes. Then I found a sackfeifen/dudelsack on the web and started doing research to find out where I could get a set. After hearing Corvus Corax and Wolgemut I found a German Dudelsack maker named, Jens Guntzel. Since I had ordered the 1st set in North America he made them extra special. I then decided to form my own band. So here I am.
I also enjoy playing middle eastern drums for Kira's Oasis, Gaiananda, Egyptian Breeze and others... Drumming for dancers is very exciting. That's why when you hear WULF you will hear that alot of our tunes are middle eastern rhythms. Recently me and my drummers in WULF were dubbed the "Cincinnati Cavemen" by Raquy & The Cavemen. They are an amazing band.

Wulf plans for 2009/2010

Well, Flam and I moved in together in order to concentrate on the band. We are planning on releasing two cd's in the Spring. One is a production intensive project that will focus on powerful ballads and pieces that make you really feel the swelling deep within. Something that links us emotionally to our medieval ancestors and or past lives.

The other cd is Feuertanz (Firedance). This will be the tribal fire jam cd that you would hear around a bonfire on a dark medieval night. Plenty of drinking, dancing and debauchery......lots o fun.

As for live performance we are working on that as well. Flam has found that he can play pipes too.....so we are ordering another set from Jens Guntzel and voila...... we hope to find one really great drummer and or a bass drummer with a lead drummer. So things could be very very cool. Next year we will play locally as well as follow SCA events and Ren Faires that will have us. We will even play a couple Irish and Celtic Festival in the tri-state area. Cant wait...very stoked!
